Healthcare Groups Rally for Reliable, Affordable Care

Citizen Action and Health Care for America Now are one step closer to reaching their goal of quality and affordable health care for all.
The groups in Binghamton held a rally Tuesday morning to thank Senators Charles Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand for supporting a public health
care option — a choice they say has a couple key benefits especially in this economy.
Lea Webb says, “And oftentimes with your employer, either they have to switch plans because it become too expensive for them to provide that health insurance plan for you, or the insurer that they have goes out of business. And it creates too much fluctuation. Whereas, if we had a public option it’s a steady, secure, stable back up that will provide opportunities for people to have health care.”
